Barbie Sequel in Limbo: Warner Bros. Hunting Deals With Gerwig, Robbie & Gosling
The money talks ain't matching the hype — yet.

Warner Bros. is in a scramble to lock down the dream team behind the biggest movie of 2023. Director Greta Gerwig, Margot Robbie, and Ryan Gosling are all still in play for a Barbie sequel, but the studio's gotta make it happen by December or things could get messy.
This is the classic Hollywood standoff: everybody wants a seat at the table, but everybody's got leverage. Gerwig directed a cultural moment. Robbie's got the credibility and the brand power. Gosling became a meme and a box office draw. When you got three players that hot, the deals get complicated.
The clock's ticking. December's not far, and if Warner Bros. can't make the numbers work for all three, we're looking at a reboot that's gotta find new faces — or no Barbie sequel at all. Hollywood always says "there's always another deal," but lightning don't strike twice the same way. This one matters.
