Chris Hansen Walked Out of A24 Screening Over Rights Dispute
The 'To Catch a Predator' host says the studio tried to lock him down before letting him watch the Pattinson film.

Chris Hansen showed up to A24's offices for a private screening of Primetime, the Robert Pattinson thriller, but never actually watched it. Why? According to Hansen, the studio wanted him to sign away his rights before hitting play.
Hansen, the former host of To Catch a Predator, said the terms weren't worth it. He walked out instead of sitting through the movie under A24's conditions. It's a move that says something about how studios are protecting their projects in the streaming age—or how aggressive they're willing to get with press and personalities.
Looks like Primetime wanted Hansen to agree to something bigger than just keeping quiet about the plot. Whatever A24 was trying to protect, it mattered enough to make the guy who built a career on catching people red-handed say no thanks and leave.
