Disney's Live-Action 'Tangled' Is Coming in 2028

Disney's not done reimagining its animated classics just yet. A live-action Tangled is in the works with Teagan Croft stepping into Rapunzel's iconic blonde hair (or however they're handling that), Milo Manheim on deck, and Kathryn Hahn joining the cast. The film is already rolling cameras, and we're looking at a March 2028 drop.

This is Disney's play to turn another beloved property into a theatrical event. The studio's had mixed results with the live-action remakes—some hit different, others felt hollow. But Tangled had real heart as an animated film, so the question is whether the live-action version can capture that same magic or if it'll just be another expensive retread.

No word yet on who's behind the camera or what the vibe is gonna be, but we'll be watching how this develops. March 2028 is still far enough out that there's time for more reveals.
