DJ Drama Steps Up for XXL Freshman — Yeah, He's Still Got It
The legendary DJ isn't slowing down. Drama just pulled up for XXL's Freshman feature.
DJ Drama hit XXL's Freshman treatment this year, and honestly? It's a reminder that some names in hip-hop don't age out—they just keep getting more credible. The man's been running Gangsta Grillz since before most current rappers had deals. His freestyle and sit-down with XXL touch on what he's been doing, where the culture's headed, and why he's still one of the realest connectors in the game.
Drama's whole thing has always been bigger than just DJing. He's A&R, tastemaker, platform—he breaks records before the industry even knows they're records. Seeing him in this space in 2026 isn't a nostalgia move. It's recognition that legends still lead.
If you've been sleeping on what Drama's been moving lately, this is worth the read. The full breakdown is over at XXL.
