Andy Williams, the guitarist who helped build Every Time I Die into one of metalcore's most uncompromising acts, is gone. He was 48. The musician suffered a medical episode after competing in a tag-team wrestling match, and that's where it ended.

Williams wasn't your typical six-string player hiding in the shadows. Dude was all-in on the chaos—wrestling was part of his DNA just like the riffs were. That energy defined ETID's whole thing: chaotic, intense, refusal to play it safe. Whether he was shredding or stepping into the squared circle, Williams brought that same fearless approach.

Every Time I Die came up during metalcore's second wave and never compromised, never chased trends. Williams was central to that sound—a player who understood that heavy music demanded conviction.
