Gorillaz Bringing 2D & Crew to Guwahati in 2027
District expands the virtual legends' Indian run with a Northeast stop.

Gorillaz just locked in another Indian date — and this time they're heading to Guwahati. Zomato's events platform District announced that the animated crew will hit the Sarusajai Sports Complex as part of their 2027 India tour, bringing the northeastern city into the fold for what's shaping up to be a proper subcontinent run.
It's a solid move. Guwahati deserves big international acts, and Gorillaz playing there makes sense — they've always drawn across boundaries, hitting markets that don't always get the megastar treatment. The band's still operating in that weird, brilliant space where Damon Albarn and the rest of the collective can pull off these massive arena runs while keeping that cult energy intact.
No word yet on the full India tour dates or other cities, but expect District to keep filling in the map as we get closer to 2027. If you've been waiting for Gorillaz to come through your way, this is the move to watch.
