GRiZ Moving Seven Stars Festival After Learning Venue's Dark History
The electronic producer is pulling his annual fest from a location with plantation roots.

GRiZ just found out something that made him move his whole festival. The producer announced he's relocating Seven Stars — his annual electronic music gathering — after learning the land it was set to take place on has a plantation past. Heavy realization.
In a statement posted to social media, GRiZ took full responsibility for not doing that homework upfront. "The failure is entirely mine," he said, owning the mistake head-on rather than making excuses or dancing around it.
It's a reminder that even when you're building something positive in music and community, the groundwork matters — literally. You gotta know what you're standing on. GRiZ handling it with accountability instead of defensiveness says something about how he operates.
The Seven Stars Festival will continue, just somewhere else. That's the move.
