Kandi Burruss Steps Into Soap Opera Game With CBS Debut

Kandi Burruss is making a move beyond reality TV. The entrepreneur and Real Housewives fixture is joining a CBS soap opera, taking on a character named Kalista Kilroy that's got the other cast members shook — specifically this dude named Bill Hamilton, who apparently doesn't vibe with her arrival.

Tabitha Brown is part of the mix too, which makes sense: Brown's been steady building her own presence in acting and entertainment beyond the internet fame lane. This kind of crossover casting isn't new, but it's still worth watching when major personalities from the unscripted world step into traditional soap territory.

For Burruss, it's another lane. She's been expanding her portfolio for years — music, businesses, the whole ecosystem. A soap gig adds to that, even if it's a guest spot. Whether it leads to something bigger or stays a one-off, it shows she's not staying put. The soap opera world could use some of that energy anyway.
