The King comes home on the biggest stage of the year — and Magic's got a message for the Staples crowd.
LeBron's heading back to LA on Christmas Day in a Sixers uniform, and yeah, that's gonna be weird. But Magic Johnson isn't having the boo birds — he's asking Lakers fans to show the four-time champ some class instead.
It's a fair take. Love or hate how LeBron left, dude won a ring for the franchise and put in work when it mattered. Christmas games hit different anyway — there's something about the whole vibe that sits above the regular season petty. Magic gets that. He also knows the optics: the most-watched basketball day of the year, the world watching, and you want that to be the moment fans unleash hate? Nah.
Will everybody listen? Probably not. But Magic's right that there's a way to be real about the business while still acknowledging what a player brought to your city. That's the move here.
