Married at First Sight Season 20 Just Broke the Internet on Peacock

1.8 billion minutes watched. Two couples didn't make it. Here's what went down.

Peacock's "Married at First Sight" Season 20 just proved the streaming platform made the right call picking up the show. After the series jumped from Lifetime last year, this season hit some serious numbers—viewers burned through 1.8 billion minutes of content, which is a wild stat for a reality show that's been running since 2014.

The formula still works: strangers get married by experts, chaos ensues, everyone argues at the reunion. This time around, most couples actually stayed together, but two bailed. The finale and reunion dropped on Peacock Thursday and apparently gave people something to actually talk about—which matters when you're trying to prove a cable-to-streaming move was worth it.

What Changed

Moving to Peacock meant the show could lean harder into what makes it work: less network restrictions, more drama, probably some production tweaks. Reality TV's been migrating to streamers for a reason. Netflix did it with "Love Is Blind," and it worked.

Interesting note: Lindsay Hubbard—who's become a fixture in the Bravo universe—apparently passed on this season. Can't get everyone.

The numbers say Peacock's got a keeper here. Reality audiences are loyal if you give them the goods.
