Netflix's Matthew Perry Doc Hits Different

Netflix is bringing the feels with a new docuseries centered on Matthew Perry, arriving late October. The trailer alone is hitting people in their chest — no surprise when you're dealing with a project that examines the life of an actor whose sudden death left a real hole in the culture.

'The One About Matthew Perry' is the kind of doc that don't need much hype. People want to understand who he was beyond the punchlines, beyond Chandler Bing. What went on behind closed doors, how he fought his demons, what he meant to the people around him. That's the story that matters.

Streaming platforms have figured out that these kinds of intimate retrospectives work — there's genuine hunger for real conversations about addiction, legacy, and what we don't see. With a late-October drop, Netflix is betting you'll be ready to sit with this one when it arrives.
