New Found Glory Pays Tribute to Chad Gilbert at Disney Shows

The pop-punk legends are honoring their late guitarist at the place he loved most.

New Found Glory lost one of its architects when Chad Gilbert passed away on September 20th at 45, after fighting cancer. The band's about to carry his memory forward in a way that feels right—by taking the stage at his favorite spot on earth.

Gilbert wasn't just the guitarist who shaped NFG's sound across decades. He was the guy who co-founded a band that became a blueprint for modern pop-punk, touring relentlessly and building one of the most loyal fanbases in rock. More personal than that: Disney was his place. His happy place. The kind of sanctuary you hold onto when life gets heavy.

So New Found Glory performing at Disney and making space to honor Chad there—that's not just a band pushing through grief. That's love. That's understanding that sometimes the best way to say goodbye is to play the songs in the room where somebody's heart was lightest.

Pop-punk lost a cornerstone. The music world lost a craftsman who never took shortcuts. His bandmates, his fans, and everyone who grew up on Sticks and Stones and Catalyst are gonna feel this one for a long time.
