Ohio Man Gets 10+ Years for Infant's Death
A father's negligence turned fatal, and the justice system is holding him accountable.

Marcellaus Nekie Malone walked into court last Friday and faced the consequences of what he'd done. The Ohio man pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of his baby and was sentenced to at least a decade behind bars.
We don't cover a lot of crime stories here at Crock Pot — that's not really our lane. But when it hits this hard, when it involves a child who had no way to protect themselves, it matters. Malone's guilty plea means he admitted to suffocating the infant, a choice that took a life and destroyed any chance of redemption for that kid.
Ten years minimum is real time. It's the kind of sentence that's supposed to mean something — not just to the person serving it, but to the community that had to witness what happened. A child is gone. A family is broken. And one man will spend the next decade sitting with what he did.
That's the story. That's all that needs to be said.
