Peyton List Heads Into the Dark with 'Exit to the Guillotine'

Peyton List is stepping into the deep end with "Exit to the Guillotine," a new psychological horror-thriller that just finished production. The film, directed by Zachary Cotler, casts List as Burne Peter, an off-Broadway actress who gets pulled into an international theater troupe rehearsing at an abandoned prison on the Ukrainian coast. It's the kind of premise that writes itself—isolation, art, secrets, all the ingredients for something genuinely twisted.

Gustaf Skarsgård ("Oppenheimer," "Vikings") is also on board, leading the troupe. The dude knows how to carry dark material. List, fresh off "Cobra Kai" and "School Spirits," has been steadily building her range in heavier projects, and this feels like the next logical step—trading teenage drama for psychological dread.

No release date yet, but with this cast and premise locked in, expect the festival circuit to get an eyeful first. Horror-thriller hybrids with this kind of pedigree usually find their moment.
