Prime Video Pulls the Plug on 'Ride or Die' After One Season
Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer's buddy dramedy is done before it really got started.

Another streaming casualty. Prime Video has canceled "Ride or Die" after just one season, closing the book on the Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer-led dramedy that dropped this summer.
The show hit the platform in July, riding on the back of a lot of buzz around that pairing—Spencer and Waddingham had been announced for the project back in December 2023, and there was genuine interest in seeing two solid actors tackle a buddy story together. But apparently one season was enough for Amazon to decide it wasn't worth the investment.
This is becoming the pattern with streamers these days: greenlight something promising, let it breathe for a minute, then yank it before the story gets real momentum. It's brutal for the creators and the fanbase, but that's the game when you're dealing with platforms more focused on quarterly metrics than actual storytelling.
No word yet on whether there's any chance of a sendoff or if fans are just left hanging. Either way, "Ride or Die" won't be riding much longer.
