Tamera Mowry-Housley Bringing the Heat to 'Scrubs' Reboot
The Sister, Sister legend is stepping into the hospital.
Tamera Mowry-Housley is pulling up to the Scrubs reboot for Season 2. The multi-hyphenate—who built her name on Sister, Sister and Twitches—is joining ABC's revival as a guest star, playing Dr. Steffie, a pediatric physician with a mission.
Her character's got game too. Steffie's there to push Tosh (Ava Bunn) toward pediatrics, trying to convince her that peds is the move. It's exactly the kind of light but grounded energy the original Scrubs always swung—real stakes wrapped in charm.
Mowry-Housley's been steady working. Going from the '90s nostalgia run to prestige revivals shows she's navigated the business smart. The reboot's already got Zach Braff holding it down, and now they're stacking the roster with names that matter. Season 2's shaping up to be more than just a cash grab—they're actually building something.
This is the kind of move that either hits clean or lands awkward, but Mowry-Housley's too much of a pro to phone it in.
