Tim Curry, Rocky Horror Icon, Dead at 80
The man who made Dr. Frank-N-Furter unforgettable is gone.

Tim Curry—the actor who gave us one of cinema's most legendary performances as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show—has passed away at 80.
Curry wasn't just a movie guy. He was everywhere: theater, TV, voice work, the whole palette. But that role in Rocky Horror cemented him in the cultural DNA. He took what could've been a throwaway character and made him iconic—the kind of performance that still resonates with new generations of fans who stumble onto that film and get absolutely hypnotized by it.
He'd been dealing with serious health issues for a while, which had slowed him down in recent years. Still, his imprint on entertainment—especially cult cinema and theatrical culture—is untouchable. The man had range and fearlessness, and he used both.
RIP to a true original.
