Wiz Khalifa's Romanian Prison Sentence Gets Wiped—But the Fight Ain't Over
The nine-month bid is off the books, but the legal war continues.

Wiz Khalifa caught a break in the courtroom this week. A Romanian court annulled the nine-month prison sentence he was hit with, which means that conviction is officially dead. For now, anyway.
Here's the thing though: prosecutors ain't backing down. They filed an appeal, and it's heading back to court on November 12 to go another round. So while Wiz dodged a bullet with the annulment, this case is far from settled.
The whole situation stems from a 2015 airport incident in Bucharest where Wiz was arrested on drug charges. It's been a legal chess match ever since—one court ruling, then another, back and forth. Getting a judgment erased is definitely good news, but having to deal with prosecutors coming back swinging means the Pittsburgh rapper's got more courtroom time ahead.
This is a reminder that international legal battles move slow and messy, and one win doesn't mean the war is won.
