Danny Masterson's Appeal Gets Shut Down—30-Year Sentence Stands

The 'That '70s Show' actor loses his bid to overturn a rape conviction.

A three-judge panel just hammered the last nail in Danny Masterson's coffin. His appeal of a 2023 rape conviction got denied—all of it. No do-overs, no sympathy, no new trial.

The court released an 89-page ruling that basically went through Masterson's arguments point by point and said nah to each one. One of his big claims was that the judge had it out for Scientology and let that bias affect the trial. The panel wasn't buying it. His 30-year sentence stays locked in.

Masterson built his name on "That '70s Show," but that doesn't matter in the courtroom. The system worked, appeals courts did their job, and now he sits. It's a clean L with no room to spin.

This closes what's been a long legal battle. Unless he's got something wild up his sleeve for a higher court, this is the final word.
