Drake's Playing the Livestream Card Again—FOMO Drops September 15

The 6ix king is rerunning the hype machine that worked before.

Drake's not leaving anything to chance. After the livestream strategy helped push "ICEMAN" to those streaming numbers, he's rolling out the same blueprint for the next project—this time around the FOMO rollout.

The move makes sense if you think about it: livestreams create this live, you-gotta-be-there energy that regular rollouts don't hit the same. It's FOMO—fear of missing out—weaponized as marketing. People tune in because dropping in real time, with the artist present, feels more direct than a midnight album dump.

September 15 is locked in as the date things move forward. Whether that's a full drop, a surprise visual, or something else stays to be seen, but Drake's clearly betting that the same formula works twice. In the streaming era, if something works, artists milk it. And Drake's made a whole career out of knowing exactly what moves the needle.

We'll see if the livestream carries the same weight the second time around.
