Goodell Stays Mum on Jay-Z Super Bowl Rumors
The NFL commissioner isn't biting on questions about Hov's halftime slot.

Roger Goodell threw cold water on the Jay-Z Super Bowl speculation this week, refusing to confirm what's been floating around the internet. When pressed about the reports, he basically said the league hasn't made any official moves yet — which is the most "no comment" way to say no comment.
This is classic NFL gatekeeping. They control the narrative around the Super Bowl halftime show like it's a state secret, so until Goodell and company are ready to drop the official word, everybody else is just guessing. The rumors are out there, sure, but that doesn't mean anything's locked in.
Jay-Z's been involved with the NFL's entertainment deals for years through Roc Nation, so the speculation makes sense. But Goodell keeping quiet doesn't mean yes or no — it just means the league's still playing it close to the vest. We'll know when they're ready to tell us.
