Madonna Going Instrumental With 'Confessions' Deep Cut
The Queen of Pop is stripping back one of her most introspective records—no vocals, just the production.

Madonna's doing something different this Friday. She's releasing an instrumental version of 'Confessions II,' letting the production breathe without her voice steering the ship. It's the kind of move that makes you wonder what she's hearing in these tracks that we've been missing all these years.
'Confessions II' was already one of her more reflective projects—a lot of space for introspection, a lot of Stuart Price production DNA running through it. Strip away the vocals and you're left with pure architecture. Whether fans will dig it or sleep on it depends on how much you value the song versus the voice, which is honestly a real conversation in pop music.
The instrumental drops Friday on streaming. It's a curveball move, but then again, Madonna's built a career on those.
