Mumbai's New Orbit Academy is Teaching the Next Generation How to Actually Make It

The Finishing Touch

Mumbai just got a new player in the game: the Orbit Academy, a music institute positioning itself as the "finishing school" for emerging artists. Think of it like the final level before you're ready to really move—the space where raw talent meets industry knowledge and actual survival skills.

The program is built for vocalists, instrumentalists, and anyone serious about turning their craft into a career. It's not just about playing better or singing prettier. It's about understanding the business, navigating the industry, building your brand, and figuring out how to eat while you're building.

India's music scene has been booming, but there's always been that gap between bedroom producers and people actually working in studios, touring, and getting paid. An academy that gets that gap is probably filling a real need. Whether it lives up to the hype depends on who they're bringing in to teach and how connected they are to the actual working music community.

Worth watching as India's artist development space gets more structured.
