Smoke DZA Puts Music Behind the Ballot With 'We Outside'

Smoke DZA isn't just dropping bars—he's connecting them to something that actually moves the needle. The Jersey emcee linked up with Popular Democracy to make "We Outside" more than just a track; it's a platform for grassroots voter organizing.

With features from Bun B and Benny the Butcher, the record hits different when you understand what's behind it. This isn't a celebrity checking a box—it's a deliberate choice to use reach and credibility in hip-hop to engage people in electoral politics at ground level.

Smoke's been consistent about taking stands. Pairing music with organizing work shows how artists can leverage their platform beyond the usual ways. The whole thing reminds you that the most interesting moves in hip-hop right now aren't just in the studio—they're in the streets, in the community, in the real work.
