Story Nights and the Night That Changed Everything
a first kiss at a castle in Central Park became a song — and then a marriage

An ordinary night that wasn't
Belvedere Castle, Central Park. Two people who'd spent the whole evening wandering the city — talking, laughing, feeling that thing you can't name yet. They shared a first kiss there. Neither one knew the night would end up mattering more than almost any other night of their lives.
The following summer, one of them brought the other back to that exact spot and proposed.
That's the true story behind "Last First Kiss," the most personal release yet from Story Nights — the alternative rock project built on taking real memories and giving them a soundtrack.
"It's the idea that an ordinary evening can turn into the most important night of your life," the artist says, "even though you don't realize it while it's happening."
The woman from that night is now his wife. The castle where they first kissed is where they decided to spend their lives together. And the song exists for one simple, honest reason: years from now, he wants to press play and remember exactly how it felt to fall in love.
A film editor who finally found the music
Here's what makes Story Nights different. The man behind it isn't a lifelong producer or a bedroom beatmaker. His background is filmmaking — specifically editing. Years of shaping stories through images, sound, pacing, and emotion. Knowing when to build tension and when to pull back. How to pace an emotional moment so it lands.
He'd been writing poems, lyrics, and stories for years. But music was the one medium where he never had the tools to build what he heard in his head.
AI changed that — and he's upfront about it. But don't mistake this for someone typing a prompt and hitting export. He treats a song the way he'd treat a film. He has a vision for how each one should sound, directs the arrangements, experiments with performances, then pulls everything into Logic Pro to edit, combine, mix, and refine every piece by hand.
"It can take countless revisions and hours of editing," he says. "But that's also what I enjoy about the process."
That editor's instinct — when to hold, when to release, how to make separate parts work as one — is the real engine here. The tools got him in the door. The storytelling is what keeps him in the room.
The sound and the why
If you grew up on late '90s and early 2000s alternative rock, emo, and pop-punk, Story Nights is aiming straight at that part of your chest. These are story-driven songs — the kind where you can picture everything happening and feel what the writer was going through. That's the music he loved as a kid, and it's the lane he's building in now.
And there's a cost to doing it this way. These aren't invented characters or imagined breakups. They're real people. Real nights. Sharing them means letting strangers into moments that used to belong to just him and the people he loves.
He does it anyway, because that's where the meaning lives.
What he wants from you is simple. Not streams, not a follow for a follow. He wants you to find your own life inside his. Falling in love. Heartbreak. Friendship. A place or a person you haven't thought about in years.
"If a song makes someone remember a moment they haven't thought about in years," he says, "then I've accomplished what I set out to do."
What's next
Story Nights is working on about a dozen more songs, building toward a first full-length album targeted for late 2026 or early 2027. Same mission — personal stories, told through that alt-rock, emo, and pop-punk sound he grew up on.
