Rah Isn't Picking a Lane โ€” She's Building Her Own Road With 'Positive AF'

The Question She Stopped Asking

For a long time, Rah kept running into the same wall. Songwriter or DJ? Singer or producer? Pick one. Fit in a box so people take you seriously.

She's done playing that game.

"I've had to overcome the belief that I needed to fit into one box," she says. "I'm an artist, songwriter, DJ, and someone deeply connected to movement, spirituality, travel, and personal transformation. For a long time, I questioned whether all of those pieces could coexist in my music."

Here's what changed: she realized those pieces are the music. Not a distraction from it. The whole point. And her new EP, Positive AF, is the sound of her deciding to stop asking where she belongs and start building her own space.

Where It Comes From

Rah is from Brazil, and you feel that before you know it. Rhythm and movement weren't things she studied โ€” they were the air she grew up in. Music became the place she could say the things that didn't fit into words.

She started as a songwriter, creating her own material from the ground up. Then DJing found her, and something clicked. Not as a replacement โ€” as an extension. Another way to tell the same story.

That's the part that makes Positive AF different. This isn't a producer slapping vocals on a track, and it isn't a singer hiring someone to spin. It's one artist bringing both worlds together on purpose. The heart is her original songwriting. The delivery is a DJ set that plays like a lived experience, not a playlist on shuffle.

Sonically, it lives at the intersection of Brazilian bass, melodic house, and pop. Warm, physical, emotional, sensual, built to move you โ€” from the outside in and the inside out.

What It Actually Cost

Evolving in public isn't free. Rah is honest about the bill.

"The cost has been vulnerability, patience, and trusting myself enough to keep going even when the direction wasn't completely clear," she says. "Creating something that feels authentically yours requires letting go of expectations and allowing yourself to evolve."

Any artist who's ever sat with a project that refuses to reveal itself knows exactly what that means. She's not just learning to release songs anymore โ€” she's learning to perform her own world. Taking something made alone in a studio and turning it into a living thing that shifts with the room. That's a whole new skill set, and she's building it out loud.

The name says the mission, too. Positive AF isn't a cute title. It's the mindset โ€” positive, free, sensual, emotional, full of movement. It's the energy she wants to embody and hand to whoever's listening.

What She Wants You to Feel

Ask Rah what she wants a stranger to take from her music and she doesn't reach for stats or genre tags. She reaches for a feeling.

"I want people to feel my authenticity before anything else. I'm not creating music to fit into a genre or an image โ€” I'm creating from my own experiences, emotions, freedom, and evolution."

The goal is simple and heavy at the same time: make people feel alive, connected, unapologetically themselves. If you walk away more positive, more free, more tuned in to who you actually are โ€” she's done her job. She literally ties it to her purpose.

That's a real thing to build a project around. Not a hook to sell. A reason to exist.

What's Next

Positive AF is the opening chapter, not the whole book. Rah is heading into a stretch where the studio and the stage collapse into one โ€” original music built for her own DJ sets, sets where her songs and the energy of the room become the same thing.

More original releases. A DJ sound that keeps sharpening. And the long-game goal: taking this beyond the studio and onto stages around the world.
